(Digital Metamorphosis: Reimagining Literature and Language in the New Media Ecosystem)
오늘날 우리는 디지털 기술이 우리의 의사소통 환경, 문학적 표현, 언어 사용, 그리고 교육에 이르기까지 급속히 재편하고 있는 시대에 살고 있습니다. AI가 생성한 시에서부터 프롬프트 작성 기술, 인터랙티브 내러티브에서 소셜 미디어 시대의 문학 비평의 변화에 이르기까지, 우리는 인쇄술의 발명만큼이나 중요한 혁명을 맞이하고 그 변화에 참여하고 있는 것입니다. 동시에 우리는 디지털 변형을 맞이하는 와중에 인간의 창의성과 저작권의 역할을 어떻게 재정의할 수 있을지, 기술 혁신과 문화적, 언어적 다양성의 보존 사이의 균형을 어떻게 맞출 수 있을지, 나아가 디지털 기술의 윤리적이고 포용적인 사용을 보장하기 위해 어떠한 교육을 발전시킬 수 있을지 더욱 고민할 필요가 있습니다. 그러므로 새한영어영문학회는 “디지털 변형: 새로운 미디어 생태계에서의 문학과 언어의 재구성”(Digital Metamorphosis: Reimagining Literature and Language in the New Media Ecosystem)이라는 주제로 문학과 언어, 뉴미디어 간의 복잡한 관계를 탐구하는 학자들을 초대합니다. 많은 관심과 참여 바랍니다.
Today, we are living in an era where digital technologies are rapidly reshaping our communicative landscapes, literary expressions, linguistic practices, and English education. From AI-generated poetry to the technologies of prompting, from interactive narratives to the transformation of literary criticism in the age of social media, we are witnessing—and indeed, participating in—a revolution as significant as the invention of the printing press. While encountering digital metamorphosis, we need to address several critical issues: how do we redefine the role of human creativity and authorship in an age of AI-generated content? How can we balance technological innovation with the preservation of cultural and linguistic diversity? How can we ensure ethical and inclusive use of digital technologies in teaching English? In light of this, the New Korean Association of English Language and Literature (NKAEL) will hold its 2024 Fall Conference titled “Digital Metamorphosis: Reimagining Literature and Language in the New Media Ecosystem.” We invite scholars who are exploring the intricate relationships between literature, language, and new media to participate. We solicit your esteemed interest and collaborative engagement in this academic endeavor.

2. 발표요약문(프로시딩 인쇄용) 제출: 2024년 9월 28일까지 (1-2쪽 분량으로 영어 또는 한글로 작성, 한글 또는 워드 형식으로 제출 가능, 한글문서로 작성 시 제목: 글자크기 15, 소속(이름): 글자크기 10, 본문: 글자크기 12, 줄 간격: 160, 글자체: 바탕체를 권장함)
3. 발표문: 2024년 10월 5일까지 (hwp, doc, ppt, pdf 등 다양한 형식 가능)
