우리 학회는 2022년 봄학술대회를 위한 발표신청을 받고 있습니다.
아래의 안내문을 참고하셔서 학술대회 발표를 신청해 주시길 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

2022년 새한영어영문학회 봄학술대회

주제: 위기 시대의 정동과 치유

일시: 2022년 5월 14일 토요일

장소: 온라인 (Zoom)

1. 발표신청: 2022년 3월 19일까지(발표제목, 이름, 소속, 이메일, 휴대폰 번호 포함)
2. 발표문 마감: 2022년 4월 30일까지
(발표문은 영어 한글 모두 가능, 한글/워드, 파워포인트 슬라이드 등 다양한 형식으로 제출 가능,
한글문서로 작성 시 제목: 글자크기 15, 소속(이름): 글자크기 10, 본문: 글자크기 12,
줄 간격: 160, 글자체: 바탕체를 권장함)

학회는 온라인으로 진행될 예정이며 참가비는 무료입니다. 또한 학문후속세대인 대학원생들의 발표를 환영합니다.

학회 규정 제 8조
새한학술발표회 발표문을 발전시켜 학술 발표회 후 1년 이내 게재된 단독 논문의 경우 게재료를 면제한다.
이 경우, 논문 1면에 새한학술발표회 발표 사실을 명기한다.

Refer to the guidelines below to apply:

1. Application due: March 19, 2022 (presentation title, name, affiliation, e-mail, and mobile phone number)
2. Paper submission due: April 30, 2022

Presentations can be delivered in either Korean or English. Presentation papers can be submitted in various formats such as Hancom Office/Word, PowerPoint slides, etc.

For those using Hancom office, please note the following:

Title: font size 15 / Affiliation (Name): font size 10 / Body: font size 12 / Line spacing: 160 / Recommended font: Batang

The conference will be held online, and there will be no participation fee.

We also welcome presentations by graduate students, emerging scholars.

Information on incentives for presentations at the conference

Provision no. 8:

The publication fee will be exempted for an article that has been developed from the presentation if it gets published within one year from the Saehan conference.
On the first page of the article, the authors have to specify the fact that it is based on their presentation at the Saehan Conference.

2022년 새한영어영문학회 봄학술대회 발표신청 안내 (Call for Papers)

주제: 위기 시대의 정동과 치유
일시: 2022년 5월 14일 토요일

오늘날 우리는 무한경쟁사회에서 글로벌 스탠더드에 맞추어 스펙을 쌓고 자기 계발을 통해서 급속하게
변화하는 세계에 적응하라고 요구받고 있습니다. 한편에서는 생존경쟁이 극대화되면서 함께 잘 살기
보다는 나만 살아남겠다는 이기심이 팽배하고, 다른 한편에서는 경쟁사회에서 살아남기 위해서 끊임없이
자기를 착취하고, 그 표준에 미치지 못하는 자신을 공격합니다. 전자가 사디즘적으로 나와 우리의 주장과
이익에 반하는 타자를 조롱하고 혐오하고 공격하기를 주저하지 않는다면, 후자는 공격의 방향이 부족하고
취약한 자기 자신을 향하게 되면서, 불안, 스트레스, 우울, 무기력증 등으로 고통받는 수많은 인구를
양산하고 있습니다.
이러한 현상은 신자유주의가 낳은 증상이기도 하지만, 최근 10년간 OECD 국가 중 자살률 1위를 한 번도
놓친 적이 없는 한국 사회에서 더 심각한 병증으로 나타납니다. 이에 새한영어영문학회는 “위기 시대의
정동과 치유”라는 주제로, 분노와 증오, 혐오, 슬픔과 우울, 스트레스, 노이로제, 공포, 강박, 히스테리
등에서 사랑, 공감, 용기 등에 이르기까지 현상으로 드러나는 감정과 더불어 무의식적 지층 아래에 잠재해있는 정동에 이르기까지 정동연구를 소개하고 이를 인문치유와 접목하여 함께 고민하고 토론하는 자리를 마련하고자 합니다.
관심있는 연구자 선생님들의 많은 참여를 부탁드립니다. 발표주제는 감정연구/정동연구/치유/코로나 블루/우울증/히스테리/ 불안/분노/혐오/온라인교육/코퍼스 연구를 포함하되 자유주제도 가능합니다.

2022 Spring Conference of New Korean Association of English Language and Literature

Theme: “Affection and Healing in the Era of Crisis”

Today’s infinitely competitive society asks us to adapt to the rapidly changing world through self-development and by making careers to meet global standards. As the competition for survival is maximized, on the one hand, some people display selfishness in their effort to become the sole survivor. There are others, on the other hand, constantly exploiting and attacking themselves, feeling that they have not lived up to the high standard. Whereas the former sadistically ridicules, hates, and openly attacks those who would push back against common claims
and interests, the latter’s aggression gets often directed toward the vulnerable self in ways that generate anxiety, stress, depression, and lethargy. This twofold phenomenon has produced a large number of suffering populations.
Fundamentally, it is a global-scale by-product of neoliberalism, but it appears as a serious disease, especially in Korea, a country whose suicide rate has always been higher than that of other OECD countries in the past 10 years.
Reflecting this atmosphere, New Korean Association of English Language and Literature will hold a conference under the theme of “Affection and Healing in the Era of Crisis” to discuss anger, hate, disgust, sadness, depression, stress, neurosis, fear, obsession, hysteria, love, empathy, courage, etc. Introducing presentations not only about affective behavior but also about affective motives, we would like to provide a venue where all of us can take a step further to think about the  possibility of healing through humanities as well. We encourage interested researchers and educators
to join us.
